Motorstorm apocalypse conceptart Biggirs

The Atlas Bobtail Big Rig

Although slow off the start, these diesel powered bullies are unstoppable once they get rolling and have the highest top-speed. Get in their way and you'll feel it, they do incredible damage. Just remember to brake in time, Big Rigs steer like a battleship.
- Festival Card #116
Big Rigs are the heaviest and the slowest accelerating vehicles in the MotorStorm series. They are also the toughest of vehicles and can plow through anything that stands in their way, even major obstacles such as wooden houses. Despite their difficult manoeuvrability and slow acceleration, they can reach an impressive top speed, rivalling some of the fastest vehicles. Big Rigs can easily cross through muddy terrains, like the Mud Pluggers and the Monster Trucks. They are capable of forcing Monster Trucks to cause a rollover, as long as they don't end up being crushed by their oversized wheels.

TriviaEdit

  • The Big Rigs are the only diesel-powered vehicles in the MotorStorm series so far.
  • Big Rigs are also capable of crushing opponents, though not to the extent of the Monster Trucks, by utilizing their sheer weight to flatten smaller, lighter vehicles via landing on them.
  • Apocalypse is the only game where all Big Rigs feature dual rear wheels.
