In the summer months, the wharfs and boardwalks along the waterfront are alive with fun fairs, restaurants, marinas and boat tours. At the end of the world, the place has become unrecognisable - splintered wood and upturned boats provide real and dangerous obstacles to avoid.
"It's the end of the world! Awesome!" - Six
BoardWalk is one of the available tracks in MotorStorm: Apocalypse. It has three varients and is made up of a boardwalk, beaches, as well as paths between the various carnival structures on the boardwalk itself. Changing tides as well as a sea-tornado occur at scripted moments during some races.

Destruction and Hazards[]
Waves of Mutilation[]
- A severe thunderstorm equivalent to a hurricane is present with a massive waterspout tornado.
- Hostile presence at the pier.
- The waterspout launches hazards across the shore at scripted moments:
- Two boats after passing the "Amusements" building during the second lap
- A tanker, which promptly explodes, after passing the "Amusements" building during the third lap
- One boat immediately after the fourth lap begins
- On the second lap, an earthquake lifts a block of land at the pier U-turn. Despite it destroying the archway, the path under it is still passable.
- On the third lap, the large building in the distance collapses, causing a temporary smokescreen.
- The "Amusements" building collapses on the third lap, blocking only the left path under it. The right path is still passable.
- Lightning destroys the Ferris Wheel on the third lap, causing it to roll over the track. (A chunk of it has been destroyed from the impact of the lightning strike, so cars can still pass under it.)
- Also on the third lap, lightning will strike a part of the house a few seconds before the finish/lap line, causing the debris to create a small ramp cars can jump over.
- When you go to the right of the fork after passing the Helter Skelter only on the second lap, the earthquake will cause the small smokestack on the left path after the amusement park to fall. (Cars can still pass around it, as it does not block the entire road.)
- Just after passing the remains of the tanker on the fourth lap, a large ship crashes into the boardwalk.
Trivia[]
- "Waves of Mutilation" is the only race in Apocalypse to feature a massive waterspout tornado in a severe thunderstorm. Despite this, the waterspout never actually moves from its location throughout the entire race and doesn't make any attempt to go on land at all.
- Due to the rain on "Waves of Mutilation", racers' boost temperature will always be cooling (unless they enter a covered area). This also happens on other tracks with rain(Upper Bohemia:Suburban Shakedown; Good Herb: Double-Decker)
- Despite being in the middle of the ocean and never moving from its location, the waterspout will throw a "Big Gas" Atlas Bobtail tanker at the racer on the third lap, exploding on impact with the ground. How the truck got inside the waterspout is completely unknown.
- On this track there is a large arch before the Ferris wheel which has the word "Colossus" which may be an easter egg to the previous track in MotorStorm: Pacific Rift, Colossus Canyon.
- The Merry Go Round from "Pier Pressure" which was between the split paths with the arches before the Ferris wheel was missing in "Waves of Mutilation" and later returned to the same position destroyed on "Sea Spray".
- In San Francsico, the location of this tack is based on Pier 39.
