Speed event in progress
Speed is an event type that appears solely in MotorStorm: Pacific Rift and MotorStorm: Arctic Edge.
Description[]
In Speed events, the player must drive their vehicle through a number of flare-based gates: right of the red flare, left of the green flare. Each gate successfully navigated will award the player an extra unit of time. At the end of the race, the higher the time, the greater the rank of medal and placing on the leaderboard.
Trivia[]
- Speed events are unlocked by completing races with time limits imposed on them.
- Speed events are the only event type featured in the Speed Weekend DLC.
- Gates will occasionally loop around and travel the reverse of the track.
- It is unknown why Speed events were not included in MotorStorm: Apocalypse.
